JAKE HOOKER & THE OUTSIDERS- was born listening to the sounds of traditional country music through his father's west Texas country band. Jake began playing the bass at the age of seven and practiced diligently until he mastered the honky tonk sound. Jake formed his own band at the age of 14 and began performing. By the age of 18, Jake was playing bass and singing full time. He spent some time at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, studying music and theory. Jake moved to the Fort Worth area in 1998 where he quickly became the local favorite. Jake signed with Southland Records that same year and began recording. Jake's popularity continues to grow. His love and passion for traditional country music never ceases. He feels it is necessary to relay that love to the fans who are so dedicated to it as well. There is no doubt that Jake is strongly influenced by the sounds of Ray Price, Johnny Bush, Farron Young, Curtis Potter, Leon Rausch and Darrell McCall. He spends much of his spare time studying these artists' music in depth. Jake is consumed by his dedication to the music and his hobbies include playing the drums and learning the steel guitar. Jake's graceful and professional image on the bandstand, along with his voice and talented band, make his show unbeatable.

ROCKY KING BAND
At an early age, Rocky was exposed to the music of the legendary Hoyle Nix and his West Texas Cowboys. Rocky’s parents took him along to dances at The Stampede in Big Spring, where his love for the fiddle and country and western swing music was born. He was lucky to witness some of the finest dance music ever!
On his fifth birthday, his parents bought him a fiddle and took him to Jody Nix for his first lessons, where the “fire” was lit
that still drives him today. In his teenage years, Rocky learned easy tunes by ear, and realized he wanted to be a serious fiddle player. He received several scholarships to South Plains College including the Tiny Moore Memorial scholarship, a huge honor to
Rocky! During his college years he took lessons from Ricky Boen and Ricky Turpin.
Rocky has had the honor to play with several bands in the past ten years that play the music he loves, including some of his heroes. He is appreciative of the people who have allowed him to play, and further his knowledge of real country music and western swing, including: Justin Trevino, Darrell McCall, Tony Booth, Fiddlin’ Frenchie Burke, Curtis Potter, The Outsiders, and many other great musicians.

Ricky Boen & Darrell Boen
Ricky Boen
Ricky started playing the fiddle at the young age of 10 under the guidance of his dad, Darrell Boen. He soon became accomplished at the instrument winning the Texas state championship in 1980 and the World Championship in 1983. He went on to work with greats such as Jody Nix, Moe Bandy, and Mickey Gilley. In 1977 Texas Mud was born with Ricky and his dad as the founding members of this group. Ricky and Darrell played all over for many years until they took the group to Branson, Missouri and fulfilled a dream in 2006 where they had a western swing music show, and Ricky became a member of the legendary Sons of the Pioneers for nine years. Then in 2013 Ricky answered the Lord’s call on his life, resigned from the Sons of the Pioneers, and moved back to Texas. Ricky was ordained into the ministry and leads the music, preaches and teaches under Corey Ross at Williamson County Cowboy Church in Liberty Hill, Texas. Traveling with Corey, Ricky and Darrell are privileged to get to minister at rodeos and western events. Even though Ricky spends most of his time with ministry work he is blessed to still play some good ole’ dance music with the likes of Jason Roberts and Coby Carter. He and his wife, Laurie, live outside of Liberty Hill and are most proud of their four daughters, three sons-in laws, and six grandchildren.
Darrell Boen
The constant in Darrell’s life has been music. His parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all played and sang. Needless to say, any sort of family get-together always ended in a jam session. He and his wife, Jane, even taught square dancing until Ricky’s fiddle career started to flourish, and Darrell was an integral part of that with his guitar accompaniment. Along with Ricky, in 2013 Darrell followed the Lord’s calling and moved back to Texas where he is a member of the Williamson County Cowboy Church Praise band singing and playing guitar. Darrell and Jane have two kids, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren all of which they adore.

JUSTIN TREVINO-More than three decades after he picked up a guitar for the first time at age seven, Justin Trevino continues to live up to his name - not only his reputation for musical excellence, but also his first name, chosen by his father. Trevino's dad, Joaquin, was a hardcore country music fan. He named his son after his favorite songwriter and singer, Justin Tubb. By the time he was 13, Trevino had formed his own band, Sunset Country. The group played honky tonks in and around Austin, most notably a monthly gig at Henry's Bar & Grill in North Austin. Four years later, he landed the gig he wanted most: leading the Sunday afternoon jam session at Harry Weiss' Red Eye Saloon, which was inside San Antonio's Eisenhauer Road Flea Market. He knew that his idol, Johnny Bush, sometimes came to sit in. One day after Weiss heard Trevino singing "Whiskey River," Bush's signature song, he remarked how much the young man sounded like Bush and promised to introduce the two of them. Weiss made good on that promise a couple of weeks later. "I'm up there singing that afternoon and Johnny gets up on the stage and announces, 'Ladies and gentlemen, I'm a little under the weather. I've got a real bad cold, I'm kinda hoarse, and I can't sing. I've been told that this young man knows all my songs. What I'm gonna do is sit here and play lead guitar, and he's gonna sing my songs. So you can look at me and listen to him.'" Trevino started with "Undo the Right." By the time he finished 45 minutes later, he and Johnny were fast friends. These days, Johnny considers Justin to be like a son to him, and he is quick to tell people, "Justin was my biggest fan until I heard him sing. Then I became his!" In the early 90s, while continuing to perform with his own band, Justin also played bass for Don Walser, Cornell Hurd and, later, also with Darrell McCall. In 1994, while still continuing to do shows on his own and with the other bands, Justin began a nine-year run as a "Bandolero" in Johnny Bush's band. He played bass and sang harmony throughout the nine years; but nearly from the beginning, he also opened the shows with 45 minutes as lead vocalist before Johnny came on stage. As if singing, songwriting and playing bass weren't enough to feed Justin's all-consuming passion for true country music, in 1997, he began recording in his home studio in Martindale, Texas. After having two of his own albums under his belt, he began recording and producing for other artists who were interested in making traditional country records. It wasn't long before his friend, Tracy Pitcox, approached Justin about engineering and producing albums for Pitcox's newly formed record label, Heart of Texas Records. Although Tracy and the artists on his label are still chief clients for Justin, he also engineers and produces albums for quality traditional country musicians who are independent or on other labels. Justin runs his recording and production business from a building constructed on the Heart of Texas Music Association campus in Brady, Texas. Brady has been home to Justin and Sissy (Elizabeth), his wife, since 2008.
